Venus Over Manhattan is pleased to present "Peter Saul: Art Attack," a solo presentation of works by Peter Saul that directly reference art history. The presentation includes a group of important historic as well as recent paintings, which lambaste pictorial propriety and skewer conventional stylistic hierarchies. Making the first solo art fair presentation of Saul's work in East Asia, "Peter Saul: Art Attack" follows a set of major milestones in Saul's nearly sixty-year career– including a retrospective at The New Museum curated by Massimiliano Gioni & Gary Carrion-Murayari– and testifies to Saul's position as one of the most important American painters of the last fifty years.
